Ahoy Sailor – Nautical theme Sydney Easter 2014

While I was in Sydney over Easter I took a ton of photos, a lot of which were on the harbour, and which I’ve already posted but I still have a few photos yet to be categorised and put in a post.

The photographs for this post are of a nautical theme.  Mostly when I was either on a ferry, waiting for a ferry or waiting for a train at Circular Quay and I tried to do  a couple of shots with different viewpoints than the usual.

Again a beautiful harbour if not the most beautiful.  Great time!

      • I’ll send you an invite to contribute (just figured out how to do that) – will be first Saturday in June, so you have plenty of time to think something up. Have Nikki, Nate and Hugh all lined up for a Saturday feature over the next few weeks, so should be some interesting questions. Hope you have a nice time with your guests. Thanks for this 🙂

  5. Karen, this is a fantastic gallery of photos! Colors, details, POV, processing – all just lovely! As an added bonus for me, I was excited to see that the ship was from the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, and when I zoomed in, to find out it was the Rhapsody. Sailed on her last summer to Alaska, after she had crossed from Sydney! Great, great memories.

    • How fascinating is that. To think that someone had taken a look at my photo (a joy in itself) and then to have sailed on that particular ship that just happened to be in the harbour at that time, when I just happened to take the photo. I find that one of those quirky coincidences in life. I guess that is one of the aspects photography is about – connecting. AND a big thank you for your compliments. They mean a lot to me. I appreciate your feedback. It has given me so much confidence, you just can’t imagine! I’m walking on air today 🙂
