Lake Ainsworth Lennox Head NSW Australia – one word photo challenge:  Grey

Lake Ainsworth is in Lennox Head, northern NSW.  It is a tee-tree stained lake which means it is permanently brown in colour, otherwise quite an attractive lake.  On the day of my photograph it started out a beautiful day, no wind but with dramatic clouds and a storm just hinting on the horizon.  Great day for a reflection on the water.  The only ripple was caused by the ducks gliding across the lake.

  1. This tea-tree stained water makes the most amazing mirror reflections. Stunning photo. Thanks for sharing! 😊

  2. I love sky reflections on water and this is fabulous. I like how the dark clouds serve as a block to keep my eyes in the reflection and on the horizon.

    • Oh thank you! You are very kind to me. Never give up I say. I was disappointed with my photos especially having no depth and generally didn’t look like they should until I got my wide angle lens and then all of a sudden I’m inspired and they looks so much better. So I blame our tools 🙂 !! Ive entered one competition that I knew I wouldn’t do any good at but it has inspired all my photography this year so for that I’ve already won! Its the Clique competition and its more photojournalism which I am not so much into but you never, never know.
