Currumbin is located on the southern end of the Gold Coast Australia. Its a small suburb but boasts a popular surfing beach and creek with a safe lagoon for swimming, stand up paddle boarding as well as small sailing vessels and kayaks. Its an active area with beautiful boardwalks over the Boree Bodalla Mangrove Reserve with two fishing platforms built for the local fishermen and on the other side of the creek, a barbeque area and a smattering of local restaurants. A great place to visit and very picturesque for photographers. If only I could get there for a wonderful sunrise or sunset.. Its on the list!

Absolutely stunning art! If I HAD to choose a favorite among just these photos, I would choose ‘Currumbin Lagoon’. The way the sun glimmers off of the water – although the sun is all but nonexistent – is marvelous! You truly have ‘the eye’ for art. LOVE IT!

Karen, you use leading lines so beautifully! Love each one of these shots, but especially the mangrove trees, and the rusty pliers made me smile. Had I seen those, I too would have photographed them 🙂
