A few weeks ago I was out taking pictures at Fingal (In NSW, just over the border from the Gold Coast, Australia).
I was just setting up my shot of the beautiful wilderness along the Tweed River (between a large golf ball sign and a high rise!) and just as I was about to take the picture I saw a pelican starting to come into view. Perfect! It actually made the picture more interesting, gave it some wildlife exposure, otherwise it would have been a bit bland, but thanks to the Pelican a much better outcome. I was so glad to have this extra photo bomb my shot!
What do you think?
Beautiful panorama … I love the colors and simplicity.

I saw pelicans only in a zoo. What a beautiful nature in your region!

Thanks Olga. We have pelicans a plenty as we are near the sea. I guess we are lucky 🙂

Do you have naughty pelicans too? Our steal meat and after they play football even with half of the food still holding in the feet. Have a good look http://myenz.com/2014/06/14/extra-extra/

It’s hard to imagine from this shot, Karen, that there’s a highrise nearby to this lovely view 🙂 And you’re absolutely right, the photo-bombing pelican is a wonderful addition to the image!
