Monochrome Madness Challenge: Week 25

Another week has come around and I am running out of pictures for the challenge.  When I was in Sydney I was quite taken with the sandstone steps to the Australian Museum.  It is the oldest museum in Australia and was established in 1827.

I was interested in the shape of the sandstone stair newel along the Crown Street side.  I wondered what it would look like in black and white compared with the coloured photo.

I’ve cropped it to highlight the shape of the rails.  It doesn’t even look like the same photo.  I had to go back and recheck.  Not the best for MM this week but the best I have at present.  Any thoughts?

You will find more Monochrome madness entries at Leanne Coles blog here.  It is run by both Leanne and Laura Macky every Wednesday.

  3. I quite like this photo. It stood out to me when I scrolled through Leanne’s post originally. Didn’t realise it was yours until I got to your page though. 🙂

  5. I like the black and white one. The lines are so sharp that I cannot avoid staring! The color ones did not give me the same effort.
