Weekly Photo Challenge: Descent

This week’s challenge is Descent. I had taken a picture of the Queen Victoria Building’s stairs earlier this year in April which I quite liked showing each stair level and the contrast between the tiles, the stairs and the railings. It is a building built in 1898 (see previous post on Sydney architecture for more detail). Again when I was in Sydney I took a few more photos and liked the contrast between the modern escalator in the QV building juxtaposed against the original architecture.

Here I have depicted the old and modernย era of Descent in the QV building to take you from level to level.
