Photography 101: Landscape

Landscapes I love so this wasn’t hard to come by. These photos were taken along the road to Goolwah in South Australia, the second photo looking out the car window as we were moving past so I was surprised it wasn’t really blurry. The hills are described as rolling, they are fantastic and lucky enough to be quite green when we were there. Just a magnificent place for some Australian landscape photography.

  2. My girls used to yell out piedols when they were little and we couldn’t work out what they meant, eventually we worked it was hills like those. You did a great job getting that second one, it is fantastic.

    • Thanks Leanne, gee I wouldn’t have gotten hills from piedols lol! I was lucky, I did have a bit of reflection but processed that out and was really surprised because it was a quick point and shoot! Funny when I have a still subject I cannot for the life of me get it sharp on most occasions, go figure 🙂

  3. Gorgeous, Karen! The clouds in the second photo look like they’re touching the hills. And the beautiful deep blue sky. Stunning. I want to pack up a picnic lunch (complete with a chilled bottle of Australian Sauvignon Blanc) and sit in the middle of it all, just soaking it up!

  5. That’s exactly how I remember the South Australian landscapes, space, space and more space!
I like the bottom one especially, showing the rolling hills against the beautiful sky; I feel like I could just fall into the photo and start walking!

    • That’s a nice compliment Barb! The hills were rolling as I’ve never seen them before. That last one was a ‘quicky’ through the window of the moving car which I just cropped out some reflection. It was truly a beautiful landscape.
