Friday Foto

Currumbin Beach, Gold Coast, Australia tonight just on dusk, overcast and was sprinkling with rain and I thought it wouldn’t be great for photography but was pleasantly surprised.

  1. I spent many, many wonderful holidays as a child at Tugun and visited Currumbin often. Such a lovely spot.

    • Hi Jane yes it is a beautiful spot. Tonight there were fishermen trying their luck in the deep gutters, it was overcast and spitting with rain.the sand had been chopped up by some heavy waves but still it was a lovely place to be. So relaxing on a Friday night 🙂

      • Boo! Would love to be in Queensland right now, actually I am missing Australia a lot at the moment. It makes me sad to look on my social media to see all my friends at the beach or parties enjoying the Christmas festivities.

It’s hard to make Christmas in a place where it is not celebrated.

      • Christmas and Easter (although I am not religious) are the two times where you always want to be with family and friends who also celebrate it, so its understandable. Hopefully you have a few Aussie friends there to make it a festive occasion and your family is together. Will you have snow for Christmas?

      • I snowed in the mountains behind us last week which was pretty exciting (you can tell Im from Sydney) and we are having an expats dinner next weekend which will more than suffice I imagine but you are right, nothing beats a festive occasion with your family and friends.

Merry Christmas to you Kaz. Too sweet.

      • Merry Christmas to you too Jane. Funny I would love to be there with the snow, that always spells festive to me being in the snow but we always seem to want what someone else has…
