Eminence sounds holy or religious and I guess when you think about it this colour does remind me of priests vestments.
For the technical people Eminence is a shade of Violet that is 63% saturated and 51% bright. For reference purposes, Eminence has the hex value #6C3082.
I however love the colour in these flowers…..

Thanks Robyn, neither did I until this challenge, when I heard it I thought it might be something important or religious as in “your eminence” … but couldn’t have guessed a shade of violet 🙂

I have never heard that word used to describe a colour – very interesting. Absolutely gorgeous flower photos. Colour and shape are stunning, and I love the close up feeling.

I know Katrina so many colours. Do we really need that many, its very confusing… shouldn’t it just be deep violet, light violet, medium violet etc…. .:D

As I was prepping for this week’s challenge, my boyfriend asked me what this week’s color was. He insisted the eminence is not a color and that we should just say purple. haha all in good fun of course. Granted, I can’t say I will ever incorporate all of these color names into my vocabulary. Although I did describe a house as livid, the other day.

Yep it has more religious overtones than colour. Funny these different colour words. Jennifer sure is learnin’ us folks some interesting things for which I am grateful 🙂
