Well MM43 is finally here and signals Christmas is very, very close.
Under Leanne’s tuition I have learnt how to add colour in Lightroom. It did take a bit of fiddling but finally I achieved it.
This is a card that I sent out to my family and friends for Christmas but in colour. I quite liked the B&W version also but thought the colour more cheery when put up on the mantle shelf.
This is a good opportunity wish all of you a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. I will be back in the New Year hopefully with a swag of photos taken over this break.
Take care and safe travels and thanks for coming along for the ride this year with me on my journey of discovery….
For more black and white photos filled with Christmas cheer please go to Leanne Cole’s blog here every Wednesday.
Merry Christmas to you, too! Your card is so elegant and beautiful–tres chic!

Merry Christmas to you, too! I wouldn’t mind receiving this card in black & white – I think it’s gorgeous, especially with the colour touch.
I’ve been reading Leanne’s “how to” on adding colour as well, but as yet I haven’t had the patience to fiddle around in Lightroom…

Thanks Kiki.. Good luck there are a couple of ways of doing it, one using the eraser tool and one just picking a colour and carefully colouring in… one I couldn’t work out and the other I could so I would be interested in how you go, but you are right it will take some patience 🙂

Seems like the blogisphere is going to be very quiet over the next week. I like you image Kaz, it is really nice, what a wonderful thing to do, to take an image and use it as your card. We have jigsaw puzzles for Christmas and every year I think I should get one of my images made into a puzzle, so far it hasn’t happened.

Thanks Leanne 🙂 I like the idea of a jigsaw puzzle, very interactive. It is very quiet now I think and I’ve decided not to post other than Robyn’s 4th week this week and kick back for a few days and start up again in the New Year. How about you?

We started the puzzles for that reason, something we could all do and we would spend time together doing it.
I think I will still blog, but just doing more looking back posts, that sort of thing, nothing new.

A lovely Holiday sentiment in this image. The pop of purple is beautiful. I found the tutorial on Leanne’s post for Lightroom rather informative. I was dreading this MMC actually, I did some earlier research and the tutorials I found where beyond what I could work out for anything I was going to submit. But, I gave it one last shot…and success! Well, at least it worked 🙂 Looking forward to the break from blogging too. Enjoy your holidays and I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful images in the new year!
