Weekly Photo Challenge: Scale

Interesting topic this week and I immediately thought of these big babies (David Černý’s babies)  taking over the landscape near Tamarama, Sydney at the Sculptures by the Sea 2014 in November last year.  Just to show the scale more appropriately a lovely little miss hopped into the photo to assist 🙂

  7. Amazing sculptures, and the scale was evident with the help of the little miss photo bomb!

  8. I’d hate to have to give them a bath. Plus, their heads are just wrong (unless they are alien babies) as it detracts from the rest of them for me. Even in the first shot I could tell something wasn’t right with the head size – get onto that artist, Karen, and tell him to fix it 🙂 🙂 🙂
    Lovely photos.

  10. Now, seriously, does anyone even like these? I never could quite come to terms with Cerny’s work… There are more samples of his creations on my blog: http://maraeastern.com/2014/08/01/artless-art/ Sorry for spamming but maybe you’d be interested in checking 😉

    • I will Mara, honestly I didn’t like their faces, it was too confronting and made me think of birth defects rather than anything he might have wanted us to think of…. Thanks Mara, I will have a look at your post now 🙂

  13. Great pictures for the theme, slightly disturbing though, but guess that’s the point! I love the shot of the little girl going up to touch them, I wonder what she thinks of them! 🙂

    • Thanks Katie, yes they are disturbing really, yes I wondered what the little girl was thinking and maybe should have stayed a bit longer to see but I guess to her it was just a climbing toy and it was so big she probably wouldn’t have known it was a giant baby… but good question 🙂
