Congratulations Leanne Cole and Laura Macky on your one year anniversary of Monochrome Madness. It has now been one full year in operation, growing from strength to strength each week. I was a late bloomer and came into the challenge around week 17. Since then my appreciation for black and white has grown so much now I almost think in black and white.
This week we were asked to put forth our best black and white MM photo for the whole year. It was a hard task but I have one black and white beach landscape that I really love and here it is. Kirra Beach 2014.
I have put in a gallery of my favourite black and white Monochrome Madness entries over the past year that I have taken.
For more Monochrome Madness entries for this week please head on over to Leanne Cole’s blog here.
Here’s cheers to the next 52 weeks of Monochrome Madness – “may the force be with you”…..
You have a beautiful collection! So inspiring ☺

I really relate to what you said about what MM has done to you and in thinking more about monochrome, I am doing the same, I am routinely changing photos to B&W to see what they will look like. I so glad you decided to join MM and submit some images, it has been wonderful getting to know you and we will also get to meet which is always great, Thank you Karen.

Thanks Sixpixx, yes I somewhat agree, when I put them together the body as a whole looked reasonable I thought as opposed to any single photo. Its surprising how many B&Ws we have taken over the course of MM 🙂

Oh, they look more than ‘reasonable’. Lovely collection. Here’s to 52 more 🙂

Thanks PK so much, I didn’t realise it was a collection until I found most of my better B&Ws and put them together and was surprised at how many I had. 🙂

your images are not just stunning – they are breathtaking!! I love the sky above -sky below in the first brilliant shot. The architectural shots are superb especially your angles and perspectives. I feel like I’m flying down staircases and hallways. You have such a variety of subjects chosen and each one is better than the other!! 🙂 So glad to have found you here on WordPress!!! Inspiring!

Thanks so much, yes its seemed natural that the sea would play a part in No !. I loved this shot best because of the water reflection and the clouds. Doesn’t always work out together but on this day it did. 🙂

A beautiful collection of images, Karen. I love all the beach black and whites, they are a great unexpected subject for monochrome. I really like when you see all the images together, the amazing shapes and curves all flow together so well. 🙂
