This week Monochrome Madness, hosted by Leanne Cole, takes me to Wollongong. I was there for my cousins 80th birthday celebration which was lovely and great to catch up with a lot of relative, a few that I haven’t seen for a very long time.
Whilst there the weather wasn’t so kind but I did manage to get a sunset over Lake Illawara with some people fishing off a pier. As I love piers this was a good thing for me to find. There wasn’t much in the sunset in the way of colour but the rays shining down looked glorious. I opted for a black and white version which I quite liked and was more striking, I think, than if I had left it in colour.
Yes, nicely striking in monochrome! 😀

It’s a striking photo! My apologies for using the same word as Sue, but when I enlarged it, that’s what popped into my mind. You caught the rays perfectly and the cloud formation intrigued me.

Thanks Barb, no apologies necessary I am happy with stunning lol! It was difficult with the glare and I tried to show the rays as they were on the day so really happy you liked it too 🙂

Striking is a good description – beautiful and gorgeous are others. 🙂 I particularly like the figures at the end of the pier that you can see when you enlarge the image. It’s like they’re bathing in the sun’ s light!
