This Friday my photo is from my usual haunt at Snapper Rocks, Coolangatta. It was the coldest morning in 16 years but this is the day I decided to get up early and get out there. I missed the sunrise by a few minutes but decided to hang around and see what turned up. The day became beautiful and sunny.

Shame you missed the sunrise but glad you hung around to get this one, it’s beautiful, so calm and peaceful.

Thanks Barb, yes it was in the shade and hidden from the rays and I quite liked it for its stillness amongst everything that was happening, the surfers, the sun rising, the waves crashing ….. 🙂

Quite serene, a contrast to some of the big seas lately!

Thanks.. yes even there the waves were crashing and the surf was up and I had to wait for the surfers to go past me to get the “tranquilness” 🙂

Something about the reflections, the hint of rock under the sand – really appeals tremendously to me in this one.

Thanks Claudette, perhaps depths unexplored and inviting you in? It did me.

Yes, a bit of that I think. Hidden things are always intriguing.
