Monochrome Madness 2 – 10

My last week of adventure in Gulgong brought forward a few photos that I like and will post out in the next week.  This particular photo was taken of a tree in the backyard where the galah’s and cockatoos congregated early in the morning and just before sunset in the evening together.  My zoom lens only went so far so they are not as sharp as I would have liked. In black and white the softness gives it a more arty feel (I feel).

Its a typical bush Australian scene and one that reminds me of my time on the farm.

  1. I love shots like this, so nice to see the birds sitting on top of the trees.

  2. kaz- this photo looked like pussywillows from the small view (at least for me) and how cool that they are birds. also, I like the memory you have with this 🙂

  3. I really, really like this photo. I nearly took one like this earlier this year, except my tree was absolutely covered by white cockies. However, was zooming up the highway for a work appointment and the tree was about 500m away in a paddock and I just didn’t get it. I actually was wondering what type of tree had such huge white flowers when I realised what it was!.
Anyway, love the soft look, the stark colours just make it sing it’s solo song clearly.
