2. To surround: The troops enveloped the town.
I have a photo from last year on my trip to Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney where I found a new mother chimpanzee enveloping her baby in her arms, protecting her from onlookers. I just got this shot in before she turned her back to protect her baby more.
