Monochrome Madness 2 – 14

On yet another trip to the Lismore area in the past couple of weeks and going into macadamia country, I was struck by the trunks of the trees and the shadows on the ground that they caused.  Macadamia trees are grown in rows with thick leaves and when they grow up there is no space between the branches.  The sun seems to shine through underneath and causes shadows across the ground which looks like striped carpet.  It always amazes me and on one of our trips we stopped so I could take a picture.  Not sure I have the picture I want but this is a little of what I was after – the pattern on the ground.

  2. Looks like the ground is undulating, or they are planted in raised rows. Awesome effect of the light and this photo suits the B&W style greatly.
