This week the challenge asks us what is our muse in photography that we keep going back to.
Mine is the beach, specifically Snapper Rocks and Rainbow Bay on the Gold Coast, but I rarely go back and take the same photo time and again. I do try to take a different angle or the beach up or down from there. When putting the gallery together I realised how many times I have been to Kirra and Rainbow Bay for everything from a sunrise to a sunset, I guess Rainbow Baymostly is my muse. It really is my “go to” place automatically.
Here is a gallery from my neck of the woods – The Gold Coast and northern New South Wales beaches.

Some of my favourite beaches too Kaz, we are spoilt for choice here on the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales. I love the last photo of Surfers Paradise silhouette with the bonus of two people in the forefront- magic!

Looking at your stunning photographs I think “Gold Coast” is the appropriate name for these spots of beauty. Lovely places to “muse” around. And you captured them in a fascinating way. This post is a good way to start into the weekend. Thanks for that. Reinhold

These are all really beautiful Kaz, I can understand how such a wonderful place would call you back time and again.( Some of the images really make me think of Cornwall!) I’m sure the sea must get into your bloodstream if you live near it .

Beautiful pics all! Love the beach too but am not very close to it here unless I can take a drive, which isn’t always possible. So thanks for taking me to the beach!

Beautiful gallery! I love the “smoothness” of the first two….hope that makes sense. The serenity of so many is so palpable. And I especially love the full black and white surf photo. I can see why you would return again and again….and the thing about the water/sea/ocean…..it never is exactly the same…..and it expresses so many different moods. Altough we live in a high rise in Boston, we often walk along the Charles River, or down to the harbor…and we spend two weeks in September in gorgeous Cape Cod’s Provincetown in a place where, at high tide, the ocean laps at our deck. And this past February, we spent the entire month in Bermuda; will return for February and March in 2016. We love the water — as do you. Thanks for a glorious post!

Thanks Joy very much. I come from the country so the beach is always amazing to me even though I have lived near it for about 20 odd years, ever changing and the light can be different from one day to the next. Thanks too for stopping by 🙂
