Loving the metallic ripple effect of the vase and the peek of the flower at the top.

Thanks Claudette, it looks metallic doesn’t it. It’s actually glass with a ripple in it and the light shining on it gives that metallic look when i darken the picture.

Ah yes, the ridges in the vase gives a waterfall effect. It is as though a gigantic flower grew on top of a cliff.

This photo is absolutely stunning! In addition to the shadows and the brightness of the flower in contrast to the darkness, I also love the curves of the vase in contrast to the pointed lines of the petals. Just beautiful!

Kaz, this is stunning! I’m a sucker for yellow flowers, but the beautiful light, the contrasts you so aptly captured, and your creative cropping choice just made me say “wow”!!
