Friday Foto – Study of a yellow flower II

This is part II of my flower session last Sunday.  I really like the contrast between the shadows and the natural light reflecting on my second hand vase and the brightness of the flower.

  4. Ah yes, the ridges in the vase gives a waterfall effect. It is as though a gigantic flower grew on top of a cliff.

  5. This photo is absolutely stunning! In addition to the shadows and the brightness of the flower in contrast to the darkness, I also love the curves of the vase in contrast to the pointed lines of the petals. Just beautiful!

  7. Kaz, this is stunning! I’m a sucker for yellow flowers, but the beautiful light, the contrasts you so aptly captured, and your creative cropping choice just made me say “wow”!!
