A delayed post this week as I was away Saturday for the Daily Challenge and only now recovering from a great trip to Victoria.
The challenge this week is half and half and looking through my photos I found this one overlooking Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast Australia. It is half sea and half sky with a silhouette of the tall buildings there for good measure. Every now and again you will get a very clear sky for a sunset and this beautiful orange glow. I was lucky to have my camera on this occasion to capture it.

What a fabulous shot this is. Lived the composition 🙂

Beautiful! Buildings are almost like “cattails” rising out of the water. And I love the subtle reflection of the orange in the water. A stunning shot!

Yes it does Ken but you seem to have gone a lot further than I and even though I loved where I was I kinda feel a bit jealous. I hope you had a wonderful trip 🙂

Sure did, Karen. Loved the warmer weather in Darwin, but the chill in The Alice and Adelaide brought us back to earth! 😉

Two of my sisters are staying at Rainbow Bay at the moment; one of them does so every year. They would’ve seen this wonderful vista as well. Well captured! 🙂

I’ve walked around Snapper Rocks and seen it myself many times. My Brother in Law refers to the balcony at the SLSC as the ‘sunset bar’. It certainly is a special place.

This is the kind of photo that, given time, gives back a lot back. I love it as an illustration of something I like to find whenever and wherever it may appear: nature and evidence of humankind in a beautiful look of coexistence. Sometimes it’s something as simple as a bird warbling on a lamp post. Sometimes it’s a cityscape on the horizon line between sky and water (your marvelous shot) with some surfers as well!
I love this image in how it offers one a chance to see everything as a thing of nature, even the highrises!

Wow thanks so much Marso. Sometimes something is stronger in its simplicity and it says more so I am glad that you liked my photo 🙂

Fantastic!!! That skyline just amazes me – specially because it’s so small and you don’t see it at first sight 😀 !!!
