Daily Post weekly challenge: Close up

“I’m ready for my close up Mr DeMille”!!

Rather than scare you with a close up of myself or anyone else I know, I have taken a couple of photos of something I have always wanted to do.  The Kiwi Fruit.  I have seen these pictures before so there is nothing new there but every time I do see them, they make me feel happy.  Its the vibrant colour I think.

So armed with having to do a close up and a visit to the supermarket off I have snapped.  I have to say food photography is way out of my league.  It simply takes a better eye and design bent that I do not have but I enjoyed trying!

These were taken with my zoom lens and using an extension tube.  I have the feeling it might be worth purchasing a macro lens for better quality and sharpness.

For more close ups in this week’s daily challenge please go to the Daily Post.
