Grid lines help us to compose a photograph. It aids us in setting up the rule of thirds to give a photo a more visual appeal.
This week the Daily Post Challenge is to actually bring the grid line to the forefront and give it the credit it deserves, show the lines, out and proud.
Delving through my photos this week it was difficult as with mostly landscapes and water photography there are not a lot of lines, curves yes…. Whilst I did have a few natural grid-lines and any excuse to use one of my pier shots, I had to look also at architecture for this one and below is a gallery of what I came up with.
Terrific series and examples. Very well composed. I’m inspired and will have to give this some more thought.

Don’t know where to start, Kaz. They are all fabulous. A journey grid of awesome photography. Some of them are masterpieces. Rails, pier and windows. Greetings. Reinhold

Really splendid set of images Kaz – I especially love the reflections of the tree trunks, the cloisters at Mont St Michel, la Tour Eiffel, but they’re all great!

What a wonderful gallery, Kaz! I enjoyed seeing them all! My particular favorites? The Louvre2 (fantastic and unique shot), the old jetty (love the composition and the flowers), through the window (lovely framing), and of course Tour d’Eiffel (and you know why 😉). And now my mouth is watering for one of those delicious looking chocolates 😋

Lots of terrific photos in this collection. Some of them are especially striking and stunning. I took that exact same shot, also in monochrome, of the pillars in the cloisters at Mont St Michel. It was funny, therefore, to see what looked like my photo in your gallery.
