This week I have a photo from our local shopping centre, well not really local but on the Gold Coast. It is probably one of our biggest – Robina Shopping Centre. A few weeks ago a new section opened up, typically a shopping centre with a supermarket and all the normal shops that go with it so nothing exciting there. What I did find exciting was the ceiling. I had my small camera with me so the quality isn’t great but I hopefully did catch the essence of it.
I liked the patterns, the texture, the curves all blending in together. It was almost like a sculpture to me.
It very much like a sculpture! Beautiful B&W. 🙂

Thanks Jane. Yes it is here but in France non! Nothing beats French shopping 😊

Excellent shot of a nice piece of architecture, Kaz. It’s one of your fab “silent” shots.

Thanks Laura. It was impressive. I’m glad some thought now goes into the design of shopping centres to please the eye these days.

I’ve noticed how other countries have such beautiful structures for shopping. We do have the galleria in SF that’s nice but most shopping areas here are kind of boring. You’re welcome btw!

I guess its the newer ones that change the way we shop, having lovely comfy chairs and lounges in the middle, nice lighting shades and interesting ceilings.. Home decor meets shopping centre here. They must get a designer in to outfit the centre.

That’s such a good point about changing the way we shop. Something has to be more enticing than shopping online although I can’t think of anything that is haha!

Its the lovely caramel slice and cakes that you get when shopping in a centre that is an added treat but if you’re dieting yes online has a lot of benefits! 🙂

It just houses Coles and a couple other shops. There’s still more to do. It’s in the old supermarket part

Thanks so much Stacy. It is a beautiful coloured wood ceiling but it screamed B&W with its shape and patterns. 😊
