This week’s challenge has been all about the Grid.
“As photographers, we often envision grids over scenes we’re shooting to hone in on that just-so composition
— goodness knows we’ve talked enough here about the rule of thirds, one of the simplest and most effective ways to use a grid to improve our photographs. Some of us also use grid overlays baked into our cameras and phones to help.
This week, let’s take the humble grid out of the shadows, and make it the star”.
I just found a few more “grid” photos with natural grids from my walkabouts.

Kaz, the photo DSC06718 is great, do you mind me asking where it is? The rest are very good too 🙂

Thanks Andy. I snuck that one in but thought i should have kept it for a black and white post as i liked it to. It’s in a building in Melbourne. When i post it in a Monochrome Madness post in a couple of weeks I’ll put down the building. Leanne Cole took me there and when she returns from USA I’ll find out the name. That’s why i didn’t name them as i hadn’t a clue where some of them were taken.

Thanks for the quick answer kaz 🙂 Just knowing it’s from Melbourne is basically all I was interested in, it looked quite American.

Very nice entry for grids. Black and White fits very well with the idea of grids.

Thanks Cris, when I did the first lot I realised that most of my grids were B&W as were all the second lot. I have a tendency with structure to do that. 🙂

Thanks so much, I just stuck it in the middle. Funny how when you first look at a photo you go hmm no… its a bit blurry and then a few months later “discover” this photo and wonder why you didnt show it before. Appreciate your lovely comment 🙂
