Well its been a couple of months now but when I was down with Leanne Cole (blog here), we were waiting in the lobby of this building at 333 Collins Street and as I clicked away and observed I noticed the lovely uniformity of the elevator lobby with people rushing by also noticing the stillness of the patterns and liked the contrast. Of course I didnt have my tripod with me so had to hold my breath, stand steady and had fingers crossed it wouldnt be too blurry. It isnt razor sharp but I was pretty happy considering the tools at hand.
For more monochrome madness black and white photography please go to Leanne’s blog (link above) to have a look. If you are interested in entering yourself, it is on every Wednesday and Leanne has instructions on how to on her blog.
I know that holding breath moment pretty well – Looks a good result to me 🙂

Thanks so much, yes it doesn’t always work and even part of a second feels like a minute when you are trying your hardest not to move. 🙂

Thanks Kaz, I now know exactly where this photo is 🙂 What I hadn’t realised was that you weren’t using a tripod to take it!! You’ve obviously got much steadier hands than mine!!

I’m sure your hands would still be steady even after a drink or two 🙂

Great shot, Karen. I love the static scene combined with the catched moving people – a nice contrast of mobility and immobility
