This week is a themed week for the Christmas period. Bells I thought ‘no trouble” but when you need them none to be found. Funnily enough we did see some interesting old bells at Port Arthur but did I take a picture noooo…..
On our holiday we travelled through a lot of different country towns. I started to notice the churches varied in size, shape and materials depending I guess on the wealth of that particular town and the resources available. I then started to take pictures each place we travelled through if one of the churches struck my interest.
This particular one was taken at Sorell in Tasmania, north-east of Hobart. It was a very pretty church with an obviously well tended garden and also had graves in its yard.
If you look very closely there is a bell in its rooftop.
The pic with the roses in front is lovely! Thanks!

I’ll have to stop at this delightful chapel in Sorrell now. Shame you didn’t take a photo of the bells at Port Arthur. They are fascinating stacked up on the rack.

They were what I was thinking of when i did this post Ruth lol. They came out dark and grainy so i couldn’t use them but if i had known about the theme then i may have tried harder! The chapel was cute and we’ll loved i think by the lovely garden. 😊
