Circle | Daily Post Weekly Challenge

Lilydale Falls Tasmania-

Lilydale Falls

This week the theme is circle and I have taken a literal meaning of the word.

When we were in Tasmania we were lucky enough to go to Lilydale Falls. It is located about 10 minutes from Lilydale, a small town in the northern Tasmania.  The only thing I love almost as much as piers is waterfalls.  They are magical and depending on the flow at any given time you will always find them different each visit.  Tasmania is renowned for its cascade falls and a lot of them are easy enough to get to.

Its an easy walk from the car park and two cascades are revealed to you.  Unfortunately there wasn’t an abundance of water when we were there so we didn’t see them at their best but still a pleasant side trek.

I did a long exposure to capture the water at a slower speed but soon realised there was a small eddy at the base of one of the cascades and with the slow motion of the shutter the end product was a circle of foam in the water below the falls.
